ABOUT US
Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.
We strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.
We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

OUR STAFF
Astor Simpson
Senior Pastor
Pastor Astor shepherds our congregation, and brings God-led teaching in the Word on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. He has a servants' heart and wants to see true change in our community through a revival of God's people.
Colleen Lester
Church Secretary
Colleen Lester serves in the church office (and anywhere else that she is needed!). Anything that gets done around here, you can be sure that Colleen played a part in it. From creating bulletin boards to organizing historical information, she is an integral part of our church! (And likely to be the friendly voice you hear on the phone when you call!)
Karen & Larry Blondell
Music Ministers
Karen and Larry have spearheaded the music ministry at First Christian Church for many years, and also serve as Elders for our congregation. Not only do they direct meaningful worship in song for each service, they have also been responsible for the development of a semi-annual Community Worship in Song, bringing together choirs, singers, and instrumentalists from churches around the Tri-State area at Thanksgiving and Easter for one of the most popular and meaningful services in our area.
